What one thing bothers you the most about this case?
For me, it's probably the information in the ME report that suggests there was more than one type of bullet used, along with at least one knife. Understanding that aspect seems to be critical to understanding exactly what happened in their home that night. Any theory needs to address these facts to be plausible, IMO.

That is very interesting that multiple calibers was used. Seems like a person that was well prepared. I knew Matt pretty well and loved him like a brother, but there are some words of his to me that I've been playing over and over in my head for years. While speaking with Matt one day I mentioned that one of my siblings went to school with Matt. Matt said that they probably didn't like him because he was a different person back then. Then Matt preceded to say, "I hope that God has forgiven me, I was involved with some very bad people, but I don't want to talk about it." I've wondered for years if it could have been one of these "very bad people"? Matt was truly an awesome person, friend, dad, and husband, and I am in no way speaking bad of him. He was really loved by all who knew him.

So in one of the podcast there was a person who’s voice was altered saying the mother n law just showed up out of the blue. This was not the first time I heard it . What’s that all about was it true or rumor. Just seems odd to me

I've heard about it on the podcast with everyone else, but I've also seen unusual comments regarding it on the Dreamin'Demon forum on Matt Stewart. The thing that bothers me the most is lack of evidence. The pastor of Matt's Church said Matt fought with killer in the bedroom & eventually the ended up in the bathroom. He said there was blood all over the bathroom. All of this struggle and no DNA?

A couple questions I always had was:
1. Why did it take so long for police officers to enter the home? I was told that they didn't even enter four 2 hours after they arrived. Don't know if this is true or not.
2. Why didn't they get a canine unit there to track the suspect? Remember the neighbor in the podcast who's dog kept barking at the woods? I once had someone break in my truck in Mooresville, they got a canine unit out quickly and tracked the guy down. It doesn't look like they tried too hard, why not?

I’m like you Dwight never made any sense. Especially using a canine they could possibly figured out what the neighbors dog was barking at.
