Very good post I have some of the same opinions. I try to look at different aspects of the case but come back to it being an inside job unfortunately. I thank you for your emails to the commissioner and all you are doing to help.

I wonder if the police ever took metal detectors through the large bushes that ran behind their house, as well as the other home on that side of the street to look for any guns or knives. If you view the Google Earth images from 2009 those large bushes weren't so large then. They still could have used some investigating because the hill could have been scaled by someone trying to quickly escape to 115/21.

I'm new here, joining after listening to the entire series. I'm local to this case but have not heard a single word of it, I didn't even know about it. That in itself bothers me and lends to how quiet this has been kept. I am rather "into" true crime and unsolved crimes and have gone over tons of crimes and murders from around the country but this one is just silent. Here are a few things that really baffle me: 1. Nobody seems to want this murder solved. I can get how maybe Matt's wife/MIL might not want it solved because things do hint to their involvement in some way, or at least a knowledge. But the pastor, Matt's family, I don't see all of them in on this. I don't see this as running so deep both his family and Angel's know the truth so don't want this solved. His sister, his daughter, they just "give it to G-d"? They are just ok with a murderer being out there somewhere, a possible threat to others?
2. The lack of evidence. Maybe this is sealed information because police are waiting for a break in the case, and I just haven't heard of it. Maybe Freddie can clarify. Is there any information about physical evidence found at the scene that indicate things like a possible escape route? Or is it possible that is not public information so it's possible it exists but is sealed? I know in other cases, take the Delpi bridge murders, the police are sitting on evidence that they refuse to make public as to not compromise this case and prosecution down the line. Is it possible there is evidence as to an escape route, DNA evidence, finger or shoe prints, and the MPD or SBI have this info sealed for future prosecution? Knowing the MPD and not having faith in their ability to properly handle a case like this, combined with their ahem, apparent willingness to cover up their uh, faults, I lean towards this kind of evidence not existing for whatever reason. If that is the case, that leaves me perplexed, because as messy as this crime sounds, for their not to be a shoe print from stepping in blood, for their not to be some kind of trail leading out of the house, it doesn't make sense to me.

I’ve seen lots of people mention the possibility of the killer having used a silencer, since nobody heard gunshots. Given he opened fire before she left the house, surely Angel could confirm or deny whether this was the case?
But then again, maybe she already has and the police just aren’t telling anyone 🙄
