Ok, tried to add this before, but I think the adoption issues are not relevant assuming Angel is biological mom. I doubt Matt formally adopted Hannah as its not really necessary if biological Dad wasnt involved My understanding is that she was formally adopted.

I just finished the Podcast and agree with all the points made about unusual behaviors by the family etc.
This might be nuts but I was wondering....is Angel's mom attractive? Was she young when she had Angel? Could there have been anything between Matt and Angel's mom?
Also, in the last episode one of the people interviewed was a guy who had started looking into the murder but stopped...he said Angel called him and said his family would be okay. Which leads me to believe that she has some say in who is "okay" and who is not....either by her own hand or through contacts. An earlier episode mentioned financial difficulties. Do you think that maybe they borrowed money from the wrong people and when they were unable to pay it back, someone decided to dish out some consequences? I know that's dramatic and sounds like a movie....but it would be a reason the family is scared still, etc.

I don't necessarily think she did it, but I think she was involved with the person who did, maybe even helped carry it out. I think the actual murder happened a bit earlier(especially as there was no time of death given and there was a lapse in time from Angel escaping the house and police entering the house). This gave the murderer time to leave a bit more slowly, leaving less evidence behind. I'm assuming that there was no evidence found outside of the house since there's been nothing mentioned of a confirmed escape route. This also gave the murderer enough time to leave Angel with a small wound that wouldn't threaten her life but would lend to her story of being attacked with her husband. The timeline as it is now doesn't sit right with me. She woke up to being fired on, grabbed the baby while her husband started fighting, and she ran. That's what, maybe 1-2 minutes if you are genuinely fleeing for your life? Give her another 1-2 minutes, maybe 3-5, to get across the street and get into the neighbors' house and calling 911, then we know 4ish minutes for the first cops to arrive. So 10-15 minutes from the time she's being fired on to the time cops are arriving. In that time the murderer shoots her husband, fights with him while stabbing him, then shoots him with what seems to be another gun(which you'd think would cover that murderer in blood), then leaves in such a precise and clean way to not leave a trail behind, to be completely gone from the area by the time police arrive. Because the murderer would have known the wife had escaped and that they were on very borrowed time. Next, you have their 3 year old. I'm the mother of multiple children and while I have never been in this situation, I can't imagine me ever leaving any of my children behind in an event like this. My husband completely aside, if my kids are in the house while an attack like this is happening and I'm not severely wounded, I'm going back for them, even if it costs me my life. I will die trying to save my kids. I can understand getting the 1 year old out first and to safety and not going to the 3 year old's room but instead out of the house, but not just completely leaving her there. By many accounts Angel's wound wasn't severe so she wasn't unable to go back across the street. The idea that she willingly stayed put and then willingly left the scene with her child still in the house seems very off to me. Unless of course she had knowledge that her child wouldn't be in danger. Lastly, there is so little about Angel's background, at least that has been on the podcast. She had a baby with one man very young, it seems that man isn't in the picture since Matt adopted that child down the road. She said that she and Matt got married after just 4 months of dating. Maybe it's possible there was a relationship she was having outside of the marriage?
