Two questions I wanted to follow up on regarding Angel's mother that I thought of when reflecting on the info we know so far.
1. People keep referencing her going back to "clean". Could someone point me to which episode in the podcast this is brought up? I'm aware of her driving around the neighborhood around the time of the killing and trying to go in to save Matt and being told no, but somehow I missed this "cleaning" incident. Would like to go back and listen.
2. When reading through these forums I recall someone mentioning shell casings being found in her car. The official story was that she had recently been to the gun range which is why those were there. As someone who's been shooting many a time, I've never once ended up with shell casings anywhere near my vehicle afterwards. That's not how it works. I don't recall this being mentioned on the podcast either unless I missed it which is possible, so I'm wondering if there is official documentation of this somewhere or if it's just a rumor. If that's true, that's a huge red flag because again she couldn't have ended up with shell casings in her vehicle just by going target shooting. Combine that with no casings recovered at the scene and it makes you think...
Thanks for any info.

I’ve been shooting for over 40 years, a lot of people pick up their shell casings. They reload them or sale/give to people who do reload. It’s common practice.

Sure some people do this, but it's not super common. That's also a hell of a coincidence for her though... it's not impossible, but what are the odds she would happen to have done that on that exact day? and left them in her car overnight?

The MIL aka Brenda: I’ve known Brenda for many years. What I know of Brenda is this: She’s very loving and would anything to help anyone! She loved Matt with all her heart and would have never hurt him in anyway! Many things seem weird or quirky, but that’s Brenda. She does weird and quirky things. It was common place for her to come over in the middle of the night and and sleep in the driveway or on the couch to be there in the morning to help with the kids. She’s a strong woman with a strong personality, but in no way malicious. If she has warned Freddie, it’s for his own good and safety. If there was enough evidence to put the person away that did this terrible crime I’m sure they would have been put away. This person is at large but surely not unknown, and when they slip up they will be caught! Spinning the narrative however, to make it look like Brenda is somehow responsible is not justice, it’s tearing down an awesome good woman who lays down her life for others on a daily bases. Freddie needs to sit down with police and get the truth of what they know! My theory is, they had all the evidence they needed but botched it up somehow and can no longer use it.

Like Dwight, I have known the family for years. When this first happened, I fiercely defended the actions in question, but after hearing more about the events of that night, I have to say that my confidence in the fact that they had/have no knowledge of what occurred is getting a little harder to believe/defend.
I think Freddie has done an excellent job of presenting the facts and not leading anyone to judgement. While it is becoming harder to believe/defend the actions of those involved in the night of the murder, I sincerely hope they didn’t have anything to do with it... it would be heartbreaking. Still hoping for justice for Matt.

Weird and quirky have a time and place. A crime scene is not one of them. Weird and quirky does not explain Brenda insisting on being the cleaner. If money was the issue, as she stated to me, our community would have in no doubt in my mind raised that money in under24hrs. Weird and quirky do not cover up guilty. I hope that the killer and anyone else involved or knowing what happened are prosicuted to the fullest extent. You can know someone for years without ever knowing the extent of what they are capable of.

She had a wad of cash that night supposedly for the beach trip. It had been mentioned that she had a rich boyfriend she liked to go shooting with. But she wouldn't pay someone to clean the blood of her murdered son-in-law up? That seems off to me, I mean for me, in the hierarchy of what I'm spending money on, cleaning up the blood at the scene of the murder of someone I love dearly is very close to the top of my list.

Brenda wanted everything in her control IMHO and from actually going to check up on her while she was cleaning. That's what she asked me to do in case she passed out from the cleaners. She told me that it was a $5,000 job to clean up the crime scene and she was just going to get it done. She told me that she was a hunter and that's why she had shell casings. My husband is an avid hunter but I have never seen a casing in my vehicles. As far as if she was already there or came shortly after I don't know. I was told by Brenda herself that she had the vision and drove to the home and she arrived shortly after the cops... Was she telling me the truth? I don't think so now that I have examined the story more but what makes you look more guilty? Already being there and all of that killing, shooting and I imagine screaming going on and you are right outside the home or that you arrived shortly after? She never once told me that she was there asleep or anything about the milk or going into the home.

Along with "A Few Questions About the MIL" Assuming (hoping) that when Brenda's car was impounded as part of the investigation, a detailed report of EVERYTHING in that car was listed....including packed bags for the beach, towels, floaties, suntan lotion etc. Second, I believe it was Danielle (?) That said Brenda had a "Millionaire Boyfriend" (A) was he ever investigated (2) If you are a millionaire boyfriend, paying $5K to clean up a horrific homicide scene out of love, charity and human kindness for someone you care about would have been a nice thing.
