I am literally brand new to the podcast and forum so if I'm bringing up redundant points, please forgive me. Did anyone else pick up in Episode 1 when Hannah said she stayed at a friend's house, like she did most weekends?. In episode 4 or 5, Matt's friend, the pastor, claims it was a miracle that Hannah was not at home, as it was her first sleepover ever???!!! Why is he under this impression and/or where did he get that information? Who told him that? Maybe its something and maybe its nothing, however I would tend to believe Hannah would be far more aware of her weekend activities, compared to the pastor.
I truly believe the religion card is being played in this case to distract from the crime. There are several examples throughout the podcast where the horrific manner and details of Matt's murder are disregarded by people who instead point out the "miraculous" things that managed to occur and other family members were saved.
As a mother myself, there is NO way, under any circumstances, I would leave a child behind in a house where my husband was being attacked, even while getting another child to safety. It sounds like the violent struggle went on for some time and moved throughout the house. Why did Angel not attempt to help her husband in overpowering the intruder? She was shot in the wrist, not the face or back or chest or even the leg. By all accounts, Matt put up one hell of a fight and quite possibly the slightest bit of assistance from any other person may have flipped the script on the killer. Even considering the possibility that she just ran, why, why, why, would you not get the other child and run? Also its my belief that the reason no one was having a total freak out concerning the child left behind is because whatever person or persons were in that house had a specific agenda that included only killing Matt. Whether Angel had this knowledge, I can't say.
The wife, mother in law, and pastor all have weird behavior that doesn't add up.
Was there a life insurance policy paid out?
Thank you Freddie for doing this podcast, and doing it really well. This person deserves justice. It's not about revenge, just justice.
