Seems like the people at that church are not interested in bringing killer to justice.

This is what is really scary about ALL of these people. No one seems to care that a murderer is on the loose. They say they want to forgive and move on. Well, that's great, but not at my safeties expense. '

Yes very strange almost makes me believe they know who did it and that this person is not a threat to anyone else? Something is being covered up for some reason and it’s a shame,

The church or many members know what happened and are in on the cover up. My theory is that the killer is some how affiliated with the Church.

Whether the church is in on it or not, they are certainly more interested in protecting Angel than seeking justice for Matt.

Did anyone ever find out what was said in the healing rooms?

We know that there was talk at some point of them wanting in to the crime scene to see if they could pray Matthew back to life but they weren’t allowed in. So they tend toward this all supernatural expectation. Blind faith maybe?
So taking what little we know, it’s like they are using faith and forgiveness as a denial tool that somehow if you pray enough, murderers won’t exist. I’m just not clear on the logic. If they do have key facts, they have maybe dismissed them. The idea that it was said by one of the pastors that a “miracle” happened that night is just terrible. I’m sure he meant that in a positive way as far as the fact that the children weren’t killed but man. That’s a really poor choice of words. It reminds me of a dateline episode where a preacher killed his wife and then said it was fine because they’d be together in heaven. Creeeeepy!
Anyways, the use of the word “miracle” really hit me and I still think that it is odd the family and church members are not heavily involved in drawing attention to the case. It’s yet another very bizarre part of this case. Doesn’t mean it’s a conspiracy but it is unusual.
The silence of some in this push for justice is very much the elephant in the room. I can imagine a lot of people close to this case have been so frustrated by it because I am frustrated by it and I’m just an armchair detective. Just because it’s painful doesn’t mean you get to pretend it never happened. It seems like that’s what has happened from the outside looking in.

All of that is lies. They were never allowed in to the crime scene for 2 days. Brian Wicker is a liar. And why not- that place is not a "church" it is a cult. It is part of the NAR- New Apostolic Reformation. Bob Jones- a very false prophet- was a member there. The man spent over 13 years of his life in mental institutions for trying to commit suicide among other things. He was disgraced from The "Kansas City Prophets"- another huge cult, for having married and single women come into his office and remove all their clothes and 'stand naked before the Lord'- a church. They are part of the "River Life" movement that has reached across America deceiving tens of thousands of weak minded people who will not follow scripture, not even search it. The follow people like Major heretic Rick Joyner of Morningstar [old PTL hotel], Rick Warren [Purpose Driven Life Movement], Todd Bentley- the disgraced -demonic false prophet from the Florida Revival in Lakeland who conversed with Angels during his services, kicked old women in the face while praying for their healing, had 'gold dust and acrylic gems' fall out of the AC vents to simulate the presence of the Holy Spirit-this is an old trick false prophets have used for 50 years. To call that horde of demons a church is blasphemy. Strange that after Matt's destruction [you can't call what they did to him murder] that Angel moved back in to her former fiancé's parents house [River church founders] and lived there. Once she got her multi-million dollar insurance settlement [from being stone broke, cars about to be repossessed, house was already in foreclosure- which the River Church paid up and continued to pay- repaired all the mutilation evidence and continued to use it to house people in need or visiting false prophets] to a PA degree from Duke University to a cushy house on Lake Norman in Davidson. Her Daughter [not Matt's] was 8 years old at the time- sleeping at a friends house- which by all previous reports had never spent one night away from home- of course that's all changed now]. She has total info on step by step actions that happened that night [brainwashing]. Angel's mother Brenda was there the whole time. In her mental explanations all but said she brought the 2 murders there. Went in side- an unlocked door- then went back and got in her car and supposedly slept through the whole mutilation. Then once she was out and about- went down the street and offered a neighbor $300 to use her cell phone; after lengthy calls- all of which were erased by Brenda before giving the phone back- left. The MPD has always been the height of incompetency- look at how they handled Quinn Witherspoon's cold murder by his wife- shot dead on a couch while he slept. And the MPD let the family take the couch he was killed on out in the country and burn it- the same day. Had Quinn not worked for Concord PD- and they were the driving force behind the investigation and trial- she would have gone free too. Now MPD claims they know what happened but the SBI bungled the chain of evidence and there was nothing they could do. What a crock of Bullshit. As long as people keep talking, we can keep this alive. One day the truth will come out
And you can Google the NAR and find out a lot. I encourage you to.

And- to the person who 'felt spooky' in the "HEALING ROOMS" No wonder. You were feeling the presence of very powerful Demons. And Matthew's family is terrified- til today- because they were told right after this happened that if they pushed it they would get them- one by one. Of course- they are very dim witted. Their oldest daughter opened herself up to all kind of demon influence when she was a teen-ager- following false doctrine. She had a strange dream and her & the pastor of "The River"- Brian Wicker- prophesied that Matt was going to bring revival to the River Cult Group. Only the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ brings revivals from God. That's how far the heresy runs at The River.

River Life Church is not a cult, it is full of people who love the Lord, and pastor Byron Wicker is not a liar. These people loved and still do love Matt, Angel, Brenda, and the whole family. If we all had a church like that we would be better off.

The church people, Brenda, Angel, or any of the family had nothing to do with this evil act against Matt. Yeah, I think they all, including police, know or have a good idea who done it, but don’t have the evidence YET to convict. Angel, Brenda, the entire family, and church, have been extremely devastated buy what happened and can do without the further accusations that haves been cleared by police and each other. There is a killer out there, but he/she/they are not apart of the accused (by this forum). We should hope and pray that the police get the evidence they need and people quit beating up this family.

I just about fell out of my chair when I saw Steven post about Morning Star, Rick Joyner, and Bob Jones. I have family VERY involved in this church who have known and worked closely with these people for years. While I believe my family's hearts are in the right place (same with many of the members), I have to agree with Steven. This place is a cult that has brainwashing down to a science. The things they teach are VERY dangerous. They fear monger and push political views on people. This is not rumors or gossip, this is my personal experience. I also am close with a pastor from another church (who I trust wholeheartedly) who went to a regional conference who said Morningstar was calling for a revolt against the government b/c they want to abolish all Muslims. He told me this before realizing I had family who went there, b/c we were having conversations about red flags in bad churches. They make kids believe they have to see or hear God and pray CORRECTLY in order to receive his grace. They push prophecies and speak in tongues and claim to have the powers to heal. Again, these are PERSONAL experiences I've had with this church, which I did attend for a very short time. If Matt's church is anyway connected to this group of people, I HIGHLY recommend they are looked into. At best, they're just another corrupt church. At worst, they're somehow involved.
