I listened to episode 5 as soon as I got up this morning. I have been waiting 3 months for this thinking the hiatus meant something big would be shared. Honestly, I was disappointed. Unless I completely missed it, I did not hear anything new. Some new people were introduced but did not reveal anything we haven’t heard before - with the exception of the very last comment about footprints and then.....nothing. Now we have to wait another month before we learn more about that? You’re killing me Freddie!!
Am I missing something here? What did others think of this episode?

I hear ya and appreciate your honesty. There’s definitely a lot of weird things about this case that have yet to be revealed, so hang in there for that in coming episodes. That said, anyone anticipating a real conclusion will be disappointed. There’s a lot more oddities and a lot more questions. I think the main function of this past episode was to examine the truth/falsity/mystery behind the 2012 forum post, which a lot of people have asked about since I started. Though many folks have been aware of the post (think we’ve brought it up in Q&As) this episode was really the first time we really dove into these claims; Namely, that the mother in law was at the scene of the crime during the time of the murder. Postmark adamantly claim to have heard this, secondhand, supposedly from a source in law enforcement, and also Lucy, someone close to the family at the time of the murder, also heard the same story. In my mind, there’s a big difference between these accounts vs the previous stories we’ve heard; that Brenda arrived at the scene shortly thereafter. Lucy also revealed that Angel, Brenda and everyone in her family was polygraphed.

I love the episodes, you’re doing a great job. My only complaints are the lack of answers (not your fault) and that you’re not putting out weekly episodes that are an hour long I want more information, as I’m sure you do as well. I’m curious though....I’m aware of some new evidence that was turned over to the SBI since you started this podcast. Are you planning to discuss that in either of the planned episodes in the coming months? Keep up the good work, you’re doing great!

I appreciate it Batman but I know Blue didn’t mean any of their comments in a negative way towards me, just frustration that we all feel. I do have the tendency to leave people hanging at the end of these episodes.... Blue I appreciate your passion and your support. Everyone is frustrated with the lack of answers, myself included. I try to present all this stuff in a compelling way in hopes that interest around Matt’s case will continue to rise and that public pressure continues to build on those who ought to be doing something about this. Still, the lack of answers is all very frustrating. I wish I could tell you that it all wraps up at the end of the series but, I’m afraid, it just gets more complicated, with additional layers and bizarre claims. As far as the SBI thing is concerned, if you are referring to what I think you are referring to... firstly, I’d say we definitely don’t know if it’s “evidence” yet. As I’ve said in different episodes and Q&As, when I get a tip that I think is significant, I make sure investigators are aware. I’m still unaware if anything will come of it. As far as if it will be mentioned in coming episodes, I’d say quite possibly. I’m hoping to get a more solid understanding of a few things before I record that segment. But I won’t be walking away from this series holding onto any secrets. This situation has seen too much of that.

I’m curious to about the sbi evidence. I haven’t heard anything about that in local news. Only thing you hear about is the Pd leadership investigation.

I thought i heard her say the police sprayed something and found the footprints. . which led me to believe if it were bloody prints they were cleaned up and luminol or something found them.. or am i confused about what I heard last episode?

[ Yeah, curious1982 , you’re right. The footprints Lucy was talking about weren’t bloody.
