Hi I'm sorry but not sure if there is a Suggestions section in this forum. My suggestion is when questioning people slow down and let them say as much as they want before interrupting to ask them more questions. The more you let people talk the more information they give you and you never know what's going to slip out. Maybe write down the questions and ask them once they've stopped talking to clarify. Hey ash, I appreciate the suggestion! Definitely my greatest weakness as an interviewer is my talking too damn much. I'm always listening to audio afterwards and kicking myself for jumping in too often and not just letting these people talk. Though, I will say, the way I edit the interviews may make it seem like I interject more than I do. I cut out A LOT of blank space, redundancy, "um"/"like" fillers, etc. Most all the conversations I have are 40+ minutes but usually only a tiny fraction makes it in (for various reasons). All that said, it's definitely something I'm working on.
