Dear Forum Folks,
As the podcast has grown to a wider audience, the cost of distribution has increased... not by a huge margin, but on top of all other continued expenses, it’s begun to add up (and will likely continue to do so).
If you follow the page on Facebook, you saw that I posted a screenshot yesterday of an email I received from the distributor I use to keep the series available to stream on various services like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Play. Because, I am now routinely grossing more than 10,000 downloads a month, Audioboom has doubled my monthly subscription fee (9.99 a month to 19.99 a month) and put us at tier allowing up to 25,000 downloads a month (a figure we've already went well over in the month of April). I can image moving forward the price will be even higher.
Up until now, the podcast has been completely funded by myself and some generous donations from my amazing and supportive family. All told, with the costs of distribution, audio recording/mastering, research, etc, since Spring of last year, I’ve spent exactly $1,121.69 on this project.
To help cover the costs, and create even more opportunities to further research production, distribution, and advertising of the podcast, I’ve decided to begin offering listeners the opportunity to contribute to, or “invest in”, the cause.
So, this page is what I’ve come up with to facilitate that:

Basically, folks who feel so led will be able to use the link above to give or “invest” whatever amount they are comfortable with. Anyone you gives $9 or more will be added to a monthly investor's email which will detail my expenses and how the money invested is spent, and also likely include some extended interviews and whatnot. Those emails will go out monthly starting in June and continue at least through December 2019.
Please do not feel pressured to participate. This is simply an option for those who wish to help out and/or feel more connected to this project.
