My only thing about this theory is that there is several houses right there on the other side of that birm with people who live there and lived there. It would be a very bad place to leave a parked car. But it still could be a possibility I think this would require a person dropping off and picking up. I agree parking a car behind the gas station would be suspicious especially with the fire station being there. But, a second person in a get away car could drop off and then sit on the little connector road between 21 and 115 waiting for the killer to come over the berm to the car. It would be interesting if the cameras picked up a car passing multiple times. If you are talkyabout the connector rd that is between 115 and 21 at either Cornelius rd or Mazzepa rd it was not built yet it wasn’t built on until 2015 if talking about the rd connecting the two directly behind the shell station I’m not sure how well that would as at the time that was a heavily used rd at all times of the day and night. And could be possibly on the cameras.

I remember the houses on the other side of the berm being really "shady" back when this happened. I’m fairly certain that they searched that house back in the day.

I remember the houses on the other side of the berm being really "shady" back when this happened. Would you mind elaborating on that? I don't know the state of these homes now, but back then they looked sort of run down and unkempt, and I had heard that there had been drug busts at those houses in the months or years prior to this. I use to drive by slowly looking at them thinking the killer could have come over the berm to one of the houses(I think there were 2, but one looked directly behind Matt's house) and watched the police drive by then simply leave in a car from there. That didn't seem to be a natural direction that the gas station cameras would be pointed.

I drove past the gas station yesterday taking care to look at the cameras on the building. At the location of the Stewart house related to the main part of the gas station (3 cameras are located on the center part of the building facing the gas pump area), I would be very surprised if the cameras would catch the back of the home/berm. Based off of he angles the cameras are positioned today, it appears that area would be off camera. With the Stewart's backyard not being fenced in, and the lower amount of shrubbery, it would not be unrealistic for the killer to go over the berm and meet either a waiting car or their own vehicle behind the gas station, then they could either go 21S or 115S towards town or North towards Troutman. This theory only fits with a Hitman/hired gunman though. It would be crazy to be walking in the woods and stumble upon something, wouldn't it. Actually drove by this shell gas station this afternoon on my way home from work and there is actually a camera on the back of the building that would be able to see that entire cut through road between 115 and 21 directly behind the gas station.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they had a driver parked someplace. Another thing never mentioned clearly was how long beforehand had this occurred before Angela decided to mosey on over to the neighbor's house ? She could have let enough time elapse so the guys ( I believe there were 2 ), had time to get away. And if they had a dark path or woods to go through, then drive off, the trail would have dead ended in that general area.

Gis map with 2009 overlay. I was just going to post something similar. I mentioned on another thread the same as you, that the shrubs were much smaller in 2009. I pulled up Google Earth and took some screen shots. These are from April 2009.
